I completely understand the excitement and anxiety that comes with planning to study abroad. You want a trusted guide, someone who knows the system, and so you turn to a paid consultancy. I did exactly that with Y-Axis — and I am writing this so you can make a far more informed decision than I did. When I first approached Y-Axis for Germany, their pre-sale consultant assessed my profile and confidently confirmed that I was eligible to apply to public German universities for a direct Bachelor's program. I was relieved, excited, and I signed up based on that assurance. However, once I was a paying client, a different staff told me the complete opposite — that I was only eligible for private universities and that public universities were not an option for me. No explanation was offered for this contradiction. No accountability was taken. I was simply expected to accept the revised advice and move forward. I followed their guidance in good faith. I had strong academic qualifications. And yet, my Student Visa was rejected. Not because of my academics — but because the entire application strategy built by Y-Axis was fundamentally flawed from the very beginning. The contradictory, inconsistent, and ultimately incorrect advice they provided was the direct cause of my visa rejection and the loss of an entire academic year. The emotional weight of that is something words can barely capture. 🎓 To my fellow students — here is what I wish I had known: I later discovered that authorised university agents in India do not charge students any fees whatsoever. The fees you pay to consultancies like Y-Axis are, in many cases, entirely unnecessary. Universities themselves maintain an official list of recognised and authorised agents directly on their website — agents who are vetted, accountable, and completely free for students to work with. My strongest advice to you: ✅ Go directly to your target university's official website ✅ Look for their "Recognised Agents" or "Authorised Representatives" page ✅ Contact those agents or the university's international admissions office directly ✅ Verify everything independently before paying anyone a single rupee I am sharing this experience not out of bitterness, but out of genuine care for every student who is right now where I once was — hopeful, trusting, and deserving of honest guidance. So after spending lakhs on consultations and scoring an IELTS Band 8, all I got after one and a half years was a rejection monthly update because I did not meet the cut off score. Not once was I given a realistic assessment of my chances. The focus seemed to be on collecting consultation fees rather than honestly advising clients about whether they were likely to make the cut off or not. In my experience, this agency showed little concern for the outcome and far more interest in getting paid. I would strongly advise others to do thorough research before signing up. I would not recommend this agency.

While purchasing the package, I was clearly assured that an international team would handle my case according to my timezone, as I am based in Canada. This was a major concern for me before making the payment. However, after onboarding, I only received calls at extremely inconvenient hours after 12:00 AM or before 8:00 AM which is completely unmanageable. This clearly shows that the commitments made during the sales process were not honored. Additionally, the assigned consultant did not seem professional or proactive. There was a lack of proper communication, follow-ups, and even basic understanding of my case details. Overall, the service did not meet expectations and did not justify the amount paid. I would not recommend their services based on my experience and am currently requesting a refund due to failure to deliver what was promised.

Later, when I verified the actual facts and raised the issue with them, they acknowledged that the information given to me was not accurate. Based on their guidance, I also proceeded with an ACS evaluation, paying AUD 500 — which unfortunately became an additional financial loss due to the incorrect advice provided earlier. When I requested a refund, since the mistake was clearly from their side, the matter was delayed repeatedly. First, I was told that their lead, Umamahesh, would resolve the issue. After nearly two months of no meaningful progress, the case was escalated to a manager, Madhulatha, but again there was no resolution — only further delays. Despite admitting their mistake, they have refused to refund the amounts I paid (USD 31 + USD 1,251 + AUD 500), which I believe I lost due to their incorrect guidance. I have email records to support every statement made in this review. I feel extremely disappointed and misled. Please do thorough research before engaging their services.

Their failure to properly vet my profile led to significant financial loss, wasted time, and severe mental stress. Despite promises of compensation, I was asked to pay more for alternate services—highlighting their lack of accountability and transparency. This organization makes false commitments and traps clients in a cycle of payments without delivering results. I urge others to be extremely cautious.
