Terms of Service

ConsultancyCheck (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at www.consultancycheck.com — an independent review platform that allows students to read and submit reviews of education consultancies, and allows consultancies to claim and manage their profiles.

You must be at least 16 years old to use ConsultancyCheck. By using the platform you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these terms with a parent or guardian.

When you submit a review you agree that:

• You have genuinely used or interacted with the consultancy you are reviewing.
• Your review is honest, accurate, and based on your real experience.
• Your review does not contain false statements of fact, defamatory content, personal insults, hate speech, or private information about individuals.
• You will not submit reviews on behalf of someone else, submit multiple reviews for the same consultancy, or submit reviews in exchange for payment or rewards.
• You consent to your review being published publicly on the platform and to us contacting you at the email address provided for verification purposes.

We verify all reviews via email before publishing. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these terms or that we believe are fraudulent, without notice.

Consultancy profiles may be created by ConsultancyCheck using publicly available information. Consultancies may claim their profile to update details, respond to reviews, and access premium features.

When claiming a profile, you confirm that you are authorised to represent the consultancy. Providing false verification documents is a breach of these terms and may result in permanent removal from the platform.

Consultancy account holders must not submit fake reviews, solicit reviews in a way that creates a misleading picture, or use the platform to harass reviewers.

You must not use ConsultancyCheck to:

• Submit false, misleading, or defamatory content.
• Attempt to manipulate ratings or reviews through coordinated inauthentic activity.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform in bulk without our written consent.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or data on the platform.
• Use the platform to send spam or unsolicited communications to other users.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation.

All content on ConsultancyCheck that is not user-generated — including text, design, code, logos, and editorial content — is owned by ConsultancyCheck and may not be reproduced without permission.

By submitting a review or other content, you grant ConsultancyCheck a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform and in related marketing materials. You retain ownership of your content.

Consultancies may purchase a Verified or Premium listing via our paid subscription plans. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By purchasing a subscription you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to ours.

Subscriptions are billed annually. Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase if you have not used any premium features. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable. To request a refund contact business@consultancycheck.com.

ConsultancyCheck is an independent review platform. We do not endorse, recommend, or take responsibility for any consultancy listed on the platform. Reviews represent the opinions of individual students and are not verified by us beyond email confirmation of the reviewer's identity.

We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of information on the platform. Use of the platform and reliance on any information is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConsultancyCheck and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to decisions made based on consultancy reviews or ratings.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time if we believe you have violated these terms, without notice and without liability to you. You may stop using the platform at any time.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered consultancy account holders of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were last revised.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
