ConsultancyCheck independently researches and lists education consultancies. Our editorial team compiles profiles from public information, verified student reviews, and direct research. You did not need to register or pay to be listed — profiles are created editorially, not by the consultancies themselves.

Our editorial team writes all profile content — summaries, strengths, areas for improvement, and the overall verdict. We base this on verified student reviews, publicly available information, and direct research. Consultancies cannot pay to change their written assessment.

Use our profile update form at consultancycheck.com/update-profile and select "Request to be listed." We research and add new consultancies on an ongoing basis. You can also email us at business@consultancycheck.com.

Yes. Listing on ConsultancyCheck is completely free. We do not charge consultancies to appear, and there are no paid tiers or subscription plans. Our editorial independence depends on this — paying for placement would create a conflict of interest for our students.

Every review requires email verification before it goes live. When a student submits a review, we send a verification link to their email address. The review stays hidden until they click the link. We do not publish unverified reviews.

Yes. We encourage consultancies to share their ConsultancyCheck profile link with past clients. You can direct students to consultancycheck.com/write-a-review. You may not incentivise reviews or instruct students to leave only positive reviews — doing so violates our review integrity policy.

Email us at business@consultancycheck.com with details about the review in question. Our team reviews every dispute and will remove reviews that violate our guidelines — for example, reviews from non-clients, reviews containing false information, or clearly malicious submissions. We do not remove reviews simply because they are negative.

We do not remove reviews simply because they are negative. Genuine student experiences — positive or negative — are the foundation of our platform's value to students. Reviews that violate our guidelines (fake, abusive, or factually false) are removed after investigation. The most effective response to a negative review is to contact us to dispute it if inaccurate, or to encourage more students to share their genuine experience.

Your overall rating is the average of all verified reviews. Sub-ratings (visa success, communication, value for money, transparency) are shown separately on your profile. There is no weighting or paid boost applied — every verified review counts equally.

Use our profile update form at consultancycheck.com/update-profile. Search for your consultancy, describe what is incorrect, and provide evidence where possible (e.g. your website, official registration). Our team reviews all correction requests and updates profiles within a few business days.

Yes. Submit a correction request via consultancycheck.com/update-profile with the updated details. Our team will review and apply the changes. We do not accept bulk imports or direct edits — all changes go through our editorial review process.

The written editorial content — including the verdict, strengths, and weaknesses — reflects our independent research and verified student reviews. We update this content as new reviews come in or as our research is updated. You can dispute specific factual inaccuracies by contacting us, but editorial conclusions based on genuine student feedback are not changed on request.

Any consultancy can request removal from the platform by emailing business@consultancycheck.com. We process removal requests within 5 business days. Note that existing verified reviews are part of the public record and are not automatically deleted when a profile is removed.

No. We never charge commissions on student enquiries or placements. ConsultancyCheck is entirely free for both students and consultancies. Commission models create conflicts of interest — recommending the highest-paying consultancy rather than the best fit. We avoid this deliberately.

We do not sell advertising placements or paid rankings. Search results are based solely on verified reviews, location, and editorial quality — not payments. This is central to our credibility with students.
