About Y-Axis Overseas Careers

Y-Axis Overseas Careers is India's largest immigration and overseas education consultancy, founded in 1999 and headquartered in Hyderabad. With 50+ company-owned offices across India, UAE, the UK, Australia, and Canada — staffed by 1,500+ employees — the company has counselled over 10 million applicants and handles more than 100,000 individual enquiries every month. Over 50% of new clients arrive through word-of-mouth, a reflection of consistent outcomes at scale.

What distinguishes Y-Axis from typical university placement agencies is the deep integration of immigration expertise alongside academic counselling. For Indian students whose goal extends beyond the degree — particularly those using study as a route to Canadian or Australian permanent residency — Y-Axis can map out the entire journey in a single strategic consultation: study route, post-study work visa, skilled migration points, and PR timeline. Counsellors are trained as destination specialists, not generalists: a Canada advisor works exclusively on Canadian study permit and Express Entry cases.

Y-Axis also operates an in-house coaching division covering IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, OET, CELPIP, SAT, GRE, and GMAT — available in three formats: Solo (self-paced), Essentials (guided group), and Private (one-to-one). Students can coordinate test preparation and visa application timelines within the same organisation, with LMS-based progress tracking and mock tests built into each format.

Who Y-Axis Overseas Careers is best for

Students planning Canada PR via a study route
Y-Axis integrated immigration and education model is ideal for Indian students who want the full Canada study → PGWP → Express Entry / PNP pathway planned from the start.
Students with prior visa refusals or complex profiles
Their dedicated refusal analysis team diagnoses weaknesses and rebuilds applications with precision — a strength refined across millions of cases.
Australia PR planners
For students using study as a route to Australian skilled migration, Y-Axis advises on ANZSCO-aligned courses and realistic PR timelines based on the current points system.
Germany and European applicants
Y-Axis has developed real depth in German APS certification, TU9 admissions, and the blocked account process — specialist knowledge uncommon among Indian agencies.

Frequently asked questions

The bottom line

Y-Axis Overseas Careers is the natural first call for any Indian student whose study abroad goal extends beyond the degree — particularly those using education as a pathway to Canadian or Australian permanent residency. The scale of their operation (10M+ counselled, 50+ offices, 1,500+ staff) translates into genuine depth: complex profiles, prior refusals, and multi-year immigration planning are handled with competence that smaller boutique agencies cannot replicate. Branch quality varies so choose your office carefully, but at their best Y-Axis offers a combination of academic and immigration expertise that is hard to find under one roof anywhere in India.

I was referred to Y-Axis Overseas Careers by a friend who had used them the year before. The initial consultation was free and genuinely useful — not just a sales pitch. They helped me understand realistic chances at different universities and didn't push me toward institutions that weren't a good fit. Visa guidance was clear. The fee felt reasonable for the amount of hand-holding provided throughout the process.

Y-Axis Hyderabad helped me through one of the most stressful periods of my life — applying to Canada with a complicated employment history and a prior US visa refusal. My counsellor reviewed my entire profile honestly, explained which issues could affect my Canadian study permit, and built a strategy around them. The visa coaching was outstanding — she had clearly handled hundreds of similar cases and knew exactly what IRCC looks for. My permit was approved on the first attempt. With over 10 million applicants counselled, Y-Axis experience genuinely shows.

Y-Axis completely transformed my application. I was a working professional with 4 years of experience and had no idea how to position myself for a Canadian PR pathway alongside my Masters application. My counsellor spent three sessions just understanding my background before recommending a university list. I got into University of Saskatchewan for my MEngineering and my ECA was handled end to end.

Used Y-Axis Delhi for my UK Masters application in Computer Science. What impressed me was the depth of shortlisting — factoring in my work experience and target specialisation, not just my GPA. I got into the University of Edinburgh. The SOP was strong and visa guidance was detailed. Minor frustration: email replies took 2-3 days during peak season. But the counsellor's knowledge of what UK universities look for from Indian applicants is genuinely specialist-level. Over 50% of Y-Axis clients come through word-of-mouth — I see why.

I used Y-Axis Delhi for my UK Masters application in Computer Science. What impressed me most was the depth of their university shortlisting — they did not just look at my GPA but factored in my work experience, the specific specialisation I wanted, and which universities had strong hiring pipelines in my target sector. I got into the University of Edinburgh. The SOP was well-crafted and the visa guidance was detailed. Minor frustration with slow email replies occasionally but excellent overall.

Y-Axis Bangalore is exceptional for students thinking long-term about PR. I wanted Australia and they gave me a clear, honest picture of the points system, ANZSCO codes for my background, and what a realistic 4-5 year PR timeline looks like. Multiple other agencies promised 2-year shortcuts that simply were not true. Y-Axis transparency helped me make a far better decision. Their 50+ offices and 1,500+ staff means there are dedicated Australia specialists — not generalists guessing. I am now in Melbourne on track exactly as they outlined.

Overall a good experience with Y-Axis. The branch in Hyderabad was very organised and the counsellor knew the UK university landscape well. I applied to 5 universities, got 3 offers, and chose University of Exeter for MSc Data Science. The SOP support was strong. Minor gripe: the IELTS coaching sessions were a bit large — 15 students per batch.

Solid experience with Y-Axis Mumbai for my Germany application. I wanted a TU9 university and they had specific knowledge most Indian agencies lack — APS certification process, the blocked account requirement, Studienkolleg pathways for Indian students. The counsellor had clearly handled German cases before. I got into RWTH Aachen for Mechanical Engineering. Their coaching division for IELTS and PTE also helped me prepare alongside the application. Competitive fees for this level of specialist Germany knowledge.

Solid experience with Y-Axis Mumbai for my Germany application. I wanted to study at a TU9 university and Y-Axis had the specific knowledge needed — APS certification, blocked account requirements, the Studienkolleg pathway. The counsellor walked me through it all. I got into RWTH Aachen for Mechanical Engineering. Their fee is competitive for the level of Germany-specific expertise they provide. Would recommend for anyone looking seriously at European public universities.

I came to Y-Axis after a Canadian study permit refusal from a DIY application. Their refusal analysis team was outstanding — they identified three specific weaknesses I had not considered. They rebuilt everything: SOP, financial documentation, ties-to-home-country evidence. My second application was approved in under four weeks. I am now in Toronto completing my Masters in Data Analytics. Having counselled over 10 million applicants, Y-Axis has seen every case type. That depth of experience is irreplaceable.

Exceptional service for Canada immigration. Y-Axis has in-house immigration lawyers which made a huge difference — they caught issues in my work history documentation that could have caused a refusal. Applied under CRS 467 and got an ITA within 3 months of filing. The team was reachable every weekday, no delays in responses.

My experience was average. Y-Axis is a big company and sometimes you feel like just a number. The initial counselling was good but once the application was submitted I had to follow up constantly for updates. Got into Deakin University Melbourne eventually — the outcome was fine but the journey was frustrating at times.

I had previously tried another consultancy and my visa was refused. Y-Axis did a thorough analysis of my refusal reason and built a much stronger application the second time. My student visa for the UK was approved in 18 days. The transparency was excellent — they showed me exactly what changed and why.

**Review of Y-Axis Australia PR Process** My experience with Y-Axis has been highly unsatisfactory, marked by inconsistent guidance, undue pressure, and a resultant waste of both time and money. I am now formally seeking a full refund for the services paid. **Misleading and Inconsistent Guidance:** My application suffered from a clear misalignment between the sales team and the processing team. * The sales team, specifically Sandeep, set unrealistic expectations and provided inadequate and misleading guidance, initially portraying the entire process as straightforward and easily achievable. * The guidance shifted significantly from the start: I was initially informed that achieving 10 points in English would be sufficient to proceed, but the processing team repeatedly advised me to aim for 'maximum' or 'superior' English scores. This change created confusion and was not consistent with the initial understanding. **Impact on Well-being and Financial Loss:** The pressure exerted by the team to achieve 'maximum' PTE scores—which were not a legal requirement for the visa—caused me significant mental stress. This situation impacted my well-being to the extent that I was forced to seek medical support/mediation during this period. * The overall process has been a total waste of my time and money without any result. * No actual service has been provided, and all services currently remain on hold. * After paying around ₹2 lakhs, specific queries related to Subclass 858 were largely ignored and not properly addressed. Continuing with this process under such uncertain prospects and inconsistent advice is impractical. I would caution prospective clients about the misleading expectations and resulting mental and financial burden. I demand a full refund, as the company’s assertion that a refund is not applicable on 'self-withdrawal' fails to account for the fundamental lack of transparency and competent service provided. they said to get 10 points now they are forcing waste of money

My experience with Y-Axis has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. After paying a substantial amount for Australian PR services, I agreed to proceed and signed the required documents to initiate the process. However, after signing and making the payment, nothing materially moved forward. When my profile was rejected at an early stage, I was earlier told that the process would stop and a refund would be initiated. Instead of honoring that, Y-Axis changed their position and began pushing my spouse’s profile, which they themselves had earlier stated was not a strong fit. When I refused to continue and requested a refund, I was told that since I had signed the documents, I had “agreed to the terms” — despite the fact that no meaningful service had been delivered. What is most concerning is the refund calculation. They are deducting lakhs of rupees for a single so-called service, which is essentially a generic PDF/checklist with no tangible outcome. There was no consultation, no successful filing, no progression — yet massive deductions are being justified under vague labels like “admin” or “process fees.” On top of this, communication has been extremely poor. I was repeatedly assured that someone would get back to me with a corrected refund amount, but those assurances were not followed through. Follow-ups were ignored for days, sometimes weeks. The lack of transparency, shifting commitments, and refusal to take accountability once payment is received has made this a highly stressful experience. I strongly advise anyone considering Y-Axis to read the fine print carefully and think twice before committing large sums upfront

Dear Y-axis Team, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I have received regarding my Australia PR visa application. 1. Initial Engagement: When I first met Mr. Nazeem, I provided all necessary documents and paid the full amount of ₹1,65,324 for the processing of my visa. 2. Agent Changes: Over the following months, my case was repeatedly transferred among different agents, including Amulya, Wamsi, Mounika, and Brazil. This constant change caused significant delays and confusion. 3. Delays and Lack of Progress: Despite my continuous follow-ups over a period of seven to eight months, there was no meaningful progress made on my application. 4. Refund Issues: I have requested a full refund of the amount paid, given the lack of service and progress. Unfortunately, I have not received the refund, and my repeated attempts to contact your team have gone unanswered. 5. Impact on Well-being: This prolonged delay and the ongoing issues have caused significant mental distress and impacted my health. The uncertainty and lack of support have left me feeling extremely disappointed. I kindly request that my full refund be processed promptly. I hope that this feedback will help improve the services for other clients in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a swift resolution. Sincerely, Mohammad Hasan

DONT GO WITH THIS SERVICE !!! It’s USELESS. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. Before posting about their service let me give you context of my profile. I’ve about 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst. After my masters in the United Kingdom I successfully secured a job by myself without anyone’s support. I even received sponsorship confirmation from my employer considering the work I have done. But after July Immigration changes, I couldn’t secure a COS slot hence I had to move back to India. In this dilemma y-axis person named ShailaRaj who has been reaching out to my mother for about two years came into picture and has done his sales pitch about their service. Because of my situation I fell into their trap and paid 55k which has gone into drain. Regarding the services in my resume they did synonyms change of words and gave hopes that it is already 95% ATS friendly we brought it up by more percent which had numerous mistakes and no change in the content. After following thrice they did the change. Then they say they do some marketing services, portal registrations. Majority of applications they apply through Reed, Indeed but as we don’t know they say that they applied a lot with customisation of each profile which is a lie. They say they will give you a strategy report which is basically the same job profiles you have asked them to target in 10 pages long document. Don’t fall for their trap and waste your hard earned money and time. I would like to raise a formal grievance regarding the services provided by Y-Axis. The company had been continuously reaching out to me for nearly two years through calls and follow-ups, encouraging me to register for their overseas/job assistance services. Based on their repeated assurances and confidence in my profile, I finally registered in February when I had to move back to India and was actively looking for career support. During the consultation process, I was informed that I had a strong profile and that their team would help me secure job opportunities and interview calls. While they did not explicitly guarantee job selection, they repeatedly assured me that I would at least receive interview opportunities and recruiter interactions through their services. However, it has now been more than 3 months, and I have not received even a single basic screening call, recruiter interaction, or interview opportunity from any application submitted through them. This clearly reflects the lack of effectiveness and value in the services provided. Additionally, the resume modification support provided was extremely basic and ineffective, consisting mainly of minor synonym replacements and superficial edits rather than meaningful improvements tailored to the job market. The LinkedIn optimization and job search strategy services also did not provide any practical value or measurable results. Despite multiple follow-ups and giving the team sufficient time to improve outcomes, there has been no positive progress. I feel misled by the representations made during the sales and onboarding process and believe the services delivered do not justify the amount charged. Therefore, I request appropriate action regarding this matter and seek a refund for the unsatisfactory and ineffective services provided.
