I wanted to provide some feedback regarding my upsetting experience with AECC, particularly around my intent to apply to Deakin University.
While I understand that your team needs to assess the strength and viability of student applications, I left the interaction feeling unsupported and discouraged. The agent assigned to me sounded very dismissive of my situation and was quick to tell me that my application would not likely succeed due to a prior U.S. tourist visa refusal. I understand the need to manage expectations, but what I received didn’t feel like realistic advice—it felt more like a firm no, without any willingness to explore options or even try.
To clarify, I contacted Deakin University directly and was told that a U.S. visa refusal does not automatically disqualify an applicant. Each case is assessed individually, and the real concern would be a visa refusal from Australia—which I have never had. In fact, I was granted a one-year multiple-entry tourist visa to Australia just last year.
Even if there was uncertainty, it would have been encouraging to simply try and see the outcome—especially since submitting an application is ultimately the only way to know if I can receive an offer letter.
For context, my application to Edith Cowan University did not require disclosure of visa refusals from other countries, only from Australia. That’s why I was surprised to receive a definitive “no” in this case. If Deakin had allowed direct applications, I would have gladly taken that route myself. It's a bit disheartening to feel dismissed as an applicant just because my case isn't entirely straightforward.
I had hoped for more support, especially since I meet the academic and professional requirements, and I have strong financial backing from my parents, who are fully sponsoring my studies.
I know AECC has helped many students, and I respect that. However, for students like me who fall slightly outside the typical mold, I wouldn’t feel confident recommending AECC. I didn’t feel heard, supported, or encouraged to explore the possibilities—even when the university itself confirmed that my application could still be considered.
I understand the need for realistic advice, but I believe realism can still be delivered with encouragement and effort, especially when a student’s case is not hopeless.

My friend recommended that I go with AECC Global to help with my visa application, and I'm truly grateful that I did.
