The Orientation Year (Zoekjaar) is a 12-month permit to seek skilled employment in the Netherlands or the EU after graduating. No job offer is required. If you find a job qualifying for a Highly Skilled Migrant permit (salary above approximately €3,850/month), you can transition to long-term residence. Apply to the IND before your student permit expires.
