Since 2023, the 40-hour per fortnight restriction was removed. International students in Australia can now work up to 48 hours per fortnight (24 hours/week average) during academic term. During official scheduled course breaks (university holidays), there is no hour limit. Note: "scheduled breaks" means officially gazetted breaks — semester gaps not listed as official breaks still apply the 48-hour limit. Always check your offer letter for official course break dates.
