I can't recomend Zach and Christine and the team enough. During a really stressful time for us with a complicated application, they thoughfully and thoroughly explained every step along the way and they were always prompt in all replies. We didn't feel like a 'file' but felt genuinely cared for. Thanks to their expertise, we had a quick and positive outcome. If you need immigration help, I highly recommend Zach and the team.

Gunther is amazing! He expertly answered all my questions regarding immigration and provided appropriate solutions. He is very responsive to my emails. Although my work visa approval was slightly delayed due to the company's lack of responsiveness, Gunther handled it exceptionally well. And the visa is approved now. This is my second time using Van Der Hout LLP's services, and both attorneys have been incredibly reliable. Thank you!

The initial consult was about twice what any other attorney I've looked at charged ($500), but in spite of some miscommunication where the attorneys showed up very late that consult went well and they told me I had a case and they had a legal argument to help me. But after an additional roughly thousand dollars of "work" they came to the conclusion that they couldn't. We never even submitted any paperwork or anything and "working" with this law firm cost me around fifteen hundred dollars after all was said and done.
After I was told I actually didn't really have a case I got a call from their office about some paperwork they'd mailed for some foia requests. Apparently they'd been returned because my address wasn't found. But 1. they'd already told me there wasn't a case to move forward with so the paperwork was irrelevant 2. I wasn't even told about this paperwork and if I had been, I would have just gone in person to sign because time was of the essence and 3. time was of the essence and they hadn't even bothered to do that first administrative step until several weeks in. That should have happened on day 1 because it takes some weeks to get the request back and I had limited time to submit my application.
Because we never actually did anything with them most of the money we'd put in reserves was left, and it took us calling more than once to get that back and when we did the address was wrong. It surprisingly still made it to us even though the mistake, which was in fairness only one letter, created a different street name. I was excited to work with this firm after a positive initial meeting but I just didn't feel that they had it together. We weren't hearing anything about my case even though we had really very limited time.

My experiences with the firm starting out great but then things went side ways. The first attorney was very responsive both to emails and appointments. Generally I got responses the next day. However she retired so I was assigned a new attorney. Things are super slow with the change. The new attorney takes 2-3 days to respond emails. Her appointments need to be set 1-2 weeks ahead. She didn't even show up in a recent meeting that she requested without any notice and could not be reached. I get that people have different working styles, but this "no-show" is very unprofessional and inappropriate.
