First time flying into and out of Mexico City. Beautiful, yet crowded airport. Little fun fact for ya, airport is named after revolutionary leader Benito Juárez. Originally opened in the 1920s. Two terminals, plenty of restaurants, and shops. Overall experience was pleasant. Although, I recommend walking across the pedestrian bridge to the Camino Real hotel if you plan on catching an Uber. Seems to be the easiest way.

Mexico City International Airport truly exceeded my expectations! It was my first time in Mexico. From the moment I arrived the airport, everything was smooth, efficient, and welcoming. Information was provided both in Spanish and English, and the organization of the terminals was excellent. The security personnels were efficient and they delivered excellent service. For a major international airport, everything moved smoothly and felt well managed. My standout feature is the great mix of shopping options throughout the terminals. Whether you're looking for high-end brands, local souvenirs, or travel essentials, there's something for everyone. I especially appreciated the variety, it made the wait for my flight fly by!. The airport was spacious, clean, organized and well maintained. The restrooms were good and well maintained.

Worst airport experience I’ve ever had. We paid for Business Class with United Lounge access, only to find the lounge closed with a vague sign saying “currently not available”. No prior notice, no explanation. When we rang the bell, a staff member rudely told us the building had no water due to construction and that there was “nothing they could do.” We weren’t even allowed to step inside to sit and wait. We had to ask just to get water and snacks, which were brought out reluctantly. No alternatives, no compensation, no professionalism. The airport itself felt chaotic — heavy construction everywhere, poor management, and services far below international standards. Premium passengers were left stranded without basic amenities. Completely unacceptable. To be honest, it’s not even worth 1 star.

Had a connecting flight through Mexico City International Airport and travelers should definitely be prepared. The airport is currently a mess inside with lots of ongoing construction, so give yourself plenty of extra time between gates because getting around can take much longer than expected. Also, it was VERY hot inside the terminals during my connection in May with limited airflow in some areas. The airport can feel crowded and chaotic right now, but if you plan ahead and allow extra connection time, you’ll be much less stressed.

Arrival was good. Modern features and massive upgrades underway. Departure gate was PACKED. Like uncomfortably packed at 4am. I’ve never experienced this at any airport before. I had to pay an excessive fee to use the barest of lounge I’ve also ever experienced.
