KIEC (Kathmandu Infosys Educational Consultancy Pvt. Ltd.) was established on 19 September 2006 by founder and CEO Rajendra Rijal and has grown into one of Nepal's most credentialed education consultancies. KIEC holds QEAC certification (PIER Online — five QEAC-certified counsellors), ICEF/ITAC certification (five ITAC-certified counsellors), and USATC recognition. The agency operates from a purpose-built facility at KIEC Avenue 44/05, Lalupatey Marg, Putalisadak — an address that has become a landmark in Nepal's education consultancy district.
Beyond Kathmandu, KIEC has branches in Dillibazar, Chitwan, Biratnagar, Birgunj, Birtamode, Pokhara, Butwal, Lalitpur, Kalanki, and Parsa, plus international offices in Melbourne and Sydney. Destination coverage spans Australia, USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, and Europe, with on-site test preparation for IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, and GMAT.
Our research
ConsultancyCheck's own assessment, from public records and the company's own materials. This is our judgement — not a summary of student reviews.
Strengths
✓QEAC, ICEF/ITAC, and USATC triple certification — among the strongest credential combinations in Nepal
✓Largest office network in Nepal: 10+ Nepal branches plus Melbourne and Sydney offices
✓Dedicated counsellors for each destination market, not generalist advisers
✓On-site test preparation: IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, GMAT — reduces need to use separate providers
✓Est. 2006 — 18+ years of continuous operation with documented student placement history
Limitations
!Scale means experience can vary by branch and individual counsellor — always ask specifically about your counsellor's destination track record
!The Putalisadak head office can be busy; afternoon and weekday morning slots are typically less crowded
!USATC credential is less well-known than QEAC or ICEF; students should ask specifically about US-specific institutional partnerships
How KIEC Education Chitwan get paid
Free for students
KIEC Education Chitwan does not charge students a placement fee. Like most education agents, it is paid a commission by the universities it places students into. That does not make its advice bad — but the agent is paid by the institution, not by you, so it has more financial reason to recommend a partner university than a non-partner one. Ask which universities it represents, and whether your shortlist is on that list.

This is the worst resturant I have ever seen in My life time I’m a Bhm student and I know how to interact with the guest . The staf were useless they are not taking order correctly. Today I went to buy some katyo rolls at 9.00 pm I’m very hurry and hungry for the dinner for the 3 people they say for 10 minutes to cook after payning the bill the order arrives at 9 30 pm so late and they only give me 1 chicken and1 egg roll after I waited for 30 min it’s not a joke . You should follow the guest order this is the big mistake. I pay the total bill of 3 rolls they give me 2 of them after 30 min they say for 10 min so please do not visit again 🙏🙏

"I am very disappointed with this consultancy. The service was poor, and I felt that the team was unmotivated and unprofessional. My concerns were not addressed, and I didn't receive the support I expected. The overall experience was frustrating, and I wouldn't recommend this consultancy to anyone looking for quality assistance."

Frequently asked questions
The bottom line
KIEC is one of the few Nepal agencies that can demonstrate triple certification (QEAC + ITAC + USATC) alongside a genuine multi-city presence. The Sydney and Melbourne offices also provide post-arrival support that many Kathmandu-only agencies cannot offer.
Best for
Students targeting Australia or the USA who want a large, well-credentialled agency with a documented certification stack and multiple Nepal office options, including access to Australian counsellors via the Melbourne and Sydney offices.
