Updated maintenance funds for UK Student visa applications — London vs outside London rates, and what bank statements UKVI will and won't accept.
UK Student visa 2026 financial requirements: London courses = tuition + £1,334/month (max £12,006); outside London = tuition + £1,023/month (max £9,207). Bank statements must show funds held continuously for 28 days before application. Not accepted: loan approval letters, property valuations, overdraft facilities. Funds must be in applicant's or parent's name with supporting documentation. Refused? Reapply immediately — no cooling-off period applies.
