Can EU nationals still apply for EU Settled Status in the UK?

Accepted Answer

The deadline for EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens to apply for EU Settled Status (EUSS) was 30 June 2021. However, late applications are still accepted in some circumstances — if you have reasonable grounds for missing the deadline (such as being a child, being unaware of the requirement, or having experienced barriers to applying). What is the difference between EU Pre-Settled Status and EU Settled Status?

Pre-Settled Status (PSS) was granted to EU nationals who had been in the UK for less than 5 years at the time of their application. It is a temporary status lasting 5 years, after which you can apply to convert to full Settled Status (permanent). Settled Status grants permanent residence equivalent. Pre-Settled Status holders must ensure they convert before their PSS expires — recent cases have clarified that PSS holders should apply for Settled Status as soon as they have 5 years' continuous residence.
