Stayed here for 6 months in a solo room while studying in Taipei. Great affordable option for students! Located right near an MRT station (小南門, green line) and there’s a YouBike station outside your door to the right (as well as two others nearby). It is also located right across the street from the immigration office, which is extremely convenient if you have any visa issues. Washer and dryer on premises (though you do have to pay). Rent is very affordable, you pay monthly and then add on a fee for however much air con you used. Centrally located, a 5 minute bike ride from Ximending and the CKS Memorial, 20 minute bike ride to NTNU if you are studying there. Also right next to the Taipei Botanical Gardens. 7/11 is right next door (critical while in Taiwan!) The bathrooms are shared, and the kitchen space is limited - there is a shared fridge and a hot plate, but don’t plan on cooking while staying here (though there is a hot water machine and a filter that has drinkable cold water). Manager Kenny is friendly and easy to get in touch with. This is probably better suited for longer term stays (A month or more) compared to short term travel. It’s a little bare bones, but if you’re on a student budget and want convenience and location at an affordable price, this is a great option!

One of the cheapest places to stay in Taipei, especially for longstay (you get discount per week or month). Laundry, dryer and airconditioner are available but cost extra, at the end of your stay you pay for the amount of airco you used. Bathrooms are shared and reasonably clean, rooms are not great but then again, not expensive either. Staff is extremely friendly and helpfull, but not allways around so most of the time you check yourself in (they leave the check-in information with your name on it on the front door the day you are expected to arrive). Finding the hostel is hard since they dont have a big sign on the front, just a name on an regular glass door.
Overall, great quality for the price you pay, in my opinion the best choice for students who dont need luxury!

if you are looking for cheap place to stay while in Taipei - this is it. bring your own towel and soap. and do not expect much. but the location is good and people are great.
